Brazilian butt lift (BBL)
A Brazilian butt lift uses your own fat — removed by liposuction, purified, and re-injected — to enhance the shape, projection and proportion of the buttocks. The aim is balance with the rest of the body, not maximum size.
What it involves
Fat is harvested from areas such as the abdomen, flanks or back (which also refines those areas), processed, and layered carefully into the buttocks to improve contour and projection.
Who it may suit
May suit patients who would like improved buttock shape and proportion and who have enough donor fat. Because not all transferred fat survives permanently, realistic planning is important.
Recovery
Patients avoid direct, prolonged pressure on the buttocks in the early weeks and wear compression on the treated areas. Final shape develops as swelling settles over a few months.
